The Redwoods

We tried to go see Mt. St. Helens, but it was too foggy.  We settled for this little wetland instead.

Oregon was full of Dutch Bros. Coffee.

We were elated to discover that we were getting so close to In-N-Out!

He doesn't look very interested here, but really, the Redwoods were amazing!

We plan to plan a camping excursion to the Redwoods sometime in the future.

Seattle

Since we were so close to Seattle, we decided to take a quick detour so we could see a city we had never seen before.  Unfortunately, my aunt, who lives in Seattle, had already headed to California for our family reunion so we were not able to visit with her in Seattle.  We did manage to see quite a few sites in a short amount of time.  It was cloudy, rainy, and cold.  Abraham really loved seeing the Space Needle.  We will definitely go back to Seattle someday when we have more time to explore.

Idaho

We took a slight detour on our journey to California to visit my dear friend, Angie, and her husband Nate, in Lewiston, Idaho.  It was definitely worth the detour to be able to spend time with them. 

We were quite happy to find this bathroom on our way.

We got to eat lunch at the Rawhide on our way to see Palouse Falls in Washington.

Angie and Nate took us out to Palouse Falls.  It was beautiful!

Yellowstone National Park

We took a day to explore Yellowstone National Park, the first national park.  There are so many things to see there that a day does not do it justice, but we did the best we could!  Geysers and mudpots were amazing to see, as well as the many other unusual geothermal features.  Yellowstone River and Yellowstone Lake were beautiful sites, too.
